Personal Experience

Stephanie Meltzer is a Partner at J. Singer Law Group and oversees the firm's national Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) practice, leading legal strategy and resolution efforts for businesses facing complex merchant cash advance disputes across the United States. With more than 25 years of experience spanning private practice, government service, and corporate leadership, Stephanie brings exceptional depth in litigation, regulatory enforcement, compliance, and business risk management.


Prior to joining J. Singer Law Group, among other roles, Stephanie was a partner at one of the nation's leading law firms, where she represented corporations, financial institutions, investment firms, and individuals in high-stakes enforcement proceedings and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on criminal and civil business fraud. She is an accomplished negotiator and litigator whose experience is further strengthened by her service as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice, where she prosecuted both federal and local criminal matters.


Amongst her more recent work experience, Stephanie also served as a senior executive for one of the world's largest multinational corporations, where she led the company's global anti-bribery and anti-corruption programs. In that role, she worked closely with executive leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate significant legal, regulatory, and reputational risks while helping guide strategic business decisions in highly regulated environments.


Today, as part of her leadership of J. Singer Law Group's nationwide Merchant Cash Advance practice, Stephanie represents businesses confronting aggressive MCA lenders, confession of judgment actions, UCC liens, ACH freezes, default claims, and other complex commercial finance disputes. Her unique combination of prosecutorial experience, regulatory knowledge, and sophisticated commercial litigation background enables her to develop practical, results-driven strategies that protect clients' businesses while positioning them for long-term success.
